About Alys Beach, FL

Alys Beach is a master-planned community along Florida’s scenic 30A Highway. It consists of 158 acres nestled next to the white sands of the Gulf of Mexico. The town enjoys a convenient location on the Emerald Coast between Seacrest to the west and Rosemary Beach to the east.

Alys and Elton Stephens purchased the land that the town sits on in the 1970s and named it after Alys. Development began in the early 2000s with Khoury Vogt Architects and DPZ Firm drawing on their previous experience working on nearby towns of Rosemary Beach and Seaside.

The town is based on the principles of New Urbanism, so it features sustainable elements like walkable streets, native trees and plants, and compounds that promote both privacy and a sense of community. Art is integrated into the community, as are communal open spaces.
