Seacrest is part of South Walton County, which consists of 16 neighborhoods spread out along the white sand beaches that run parallel to Highway 30A. This Emerald Coast community has both a quiet residential feel and a relaxed beach holiday atmosphere.

The population of Seacrest consists of residents who live in their Seacrest property year-round and vacationers who come to enjoy the beautiful scenery, casual eateries, and abundance of outdoor activities on offer. 

Seacrest is easily accessible from Highway 30 and US Highway 98, both of which run from east to west along the Emerald Coast. Rosemary Beach and Alys Beach are just minutes away by car. Panama City is about a 45-minutes drive east and Destin is about an hour by car to the west.

What to do in Seacrest, FL

Seacrest’s star attraction is its beautiful white sand beach. You can get onto the beach from the Seacrest Drive beach access point or the Gulf Lakes public beach access. Once on the sand, you can go swimming, snorkeling, kayaking or stand up paddling.

Prefer pools over the ocean? Seacrest has one of the largest public pools in Florida. The Seacrest Lagoon is located in the center of town and has a 12,000 square foot pool open to Seacrest real estate owners and rental guests. There is also an amphitheater for concerts and community events.

If you want to explore Seacrest and the surrounding areas, bicycles are a popular form of transportation. The wide streets in the town are easy to navigate, and if you head outside the center, you can get onto the Timpoochee Trail and cruise for 18.5 miles along the coast.

When you need a break from the sun, sea, and sand, there are plenty of places to fuel up and do some shopping in Seacrest. Peddler’s Pavilion has fountains for cooling off and eateries selling ice cream, pizza, and cold beverages. 

In the evening there are a few places where adults can gather with friends over a few drinks. Crabby Steve’s is right on the beach and offers tiki style drinks and atmosphere. Beach & Brew is another fun spot where you can sample craft beers and wine.
